Schwanenstuble in Markdorf

We went to dinner with the family and everyone enjoyed it. From the starter to the salad, main course and dessert. The price-performance ratio fits. Despite Corona, the table was set invitingly and provided with fresh flowers. Which is unfortunately not the case everywhere. Staff was friendly too. We'd love to come back again.

Very tasty food, friendly and attentive service, nice atmosphere, recommendable in every way!

Quality food. The meat was soft as butter and had a pink core. The spaetzle on point and the mousse just delicious. You felt very welcome.

The food is good but average compared to restaurants in the area. I have to rate the service particularly negatively. The ladies seem rushed and stressed towards the "common people". But the "high society" of the place is overly charmed. Waiting for the bill can take 20 minutes. All in all: no thanks. Not again, there are too many good alternatives for that!

We had wild boar goulash with spaetzle. The goulash tasted good and could have stewed a little longer. The amount, however, was manageable.

Very good food and service. The staff was very friendly. A small and cozy restaurant with reasonable prices. It is advisable to make a reservation, however, as the restaurant seems to be popular. We were guests for the first time today and will definitely come back again.

The food was very good we had nothing to complain about

Although there was no vegan dish on the menu, I was able to get a very tasty vegan vegetable plate with french fries. The quality of the food was great, the service friendly.

Came by here spontaneously on our bike tour and we were immediately assigned a seat by the extremely friendly service. The food was great. Price / performance ratio was right. We'll definitely come back here on one of our next bike tours.

The food was very good. The portions are generous and you will be full. We felt good. Everything was very clean and the staff was always polite although they were good at stress.

We were eating here and it was really good. The food was excellent in taste and the staff was very, very nice. Special requests were not a problem at all. The toilets were also very clean. So I have nothing to complain about 😅

Good typical southern German cuisine with excellent and charming service. Two daily lunch specials ( non-vegetarian [friday =fish] and vegetarian) 9 €. Great terrace in the summer months.

A very nice small restaurant in a small town in southern Germany. It can be found on the market square. The food is very good and I think, moderately priced. In summer it's nice to sit outside and watch the world go by while eating lunch, and it goes by slowly. The local wine is also worth a mention. If your really lucky, there might be a bottle from the town itself.

Were eating goose today which was really delicious😋. Small but fine restaurant, very nice staff and good food, what more could you ask for.

Happened to be coming through Markdorf on the way from Salem to Friedrichshafen and this was a pleasant surprise. Clearly, they have been in business for quite a long time and know what they are doing! The Jagerschnitzel was excellent, and the rump steak was even better! The meat was coated in butter, which makes it excellent. Very good salad and side dishes, like spaetzli, as well! Place could use a bit of updating inside, but I don't care much about that. Great location with indoor and outdoor seating (although I wish the smokers would stay away - that's Germany, though). Will definitely try to comeback. Service was okay to just above average (it was crowded when we arrived), but the server was very nice and clearly knew quite a bit of English (although I know German pretty well). If you are in the area, it should be your traditional German restaurant of choice!

Very good, we can only confirm the good assessments that it has already obtained. Good value for money. Excellent appetizers: Scandinavian prawn cocktail and salmon gravlax (a special mention for mustard). The felchen (whitefish from Lake Constance) is very good. Only the fried potatoes, a bit 'too greasy. Excellent service. Very nice location on the market square.

super tender roast beef, the sole was also very good. I personally don't like fried onions with it. glazed onions are part of the roast onion. I am still giving it 5 stars because of the friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and the good fish and roast beef and I hope that I will get the onions glazed next time.

Good traditional German dishes. Must be hungry, plate was full. The decor is a little bit dated.

They speak and have English menus. I got the grilled chicken, and holy crap, that was the best Chicken I've ever had. The cook even came out to make sure his food was up to our standards! Friendly waiters/waitresses. Definitely a 5 star restaurant in my book!
